Okay, this one was a GAME-CHANGER. Listen, my household does NOT like to get up early and do mornings but….#life, am I right? So I started looking for breakfast recipes that I could cook ahead of time so we could snag those few extra minutes of sleep a night. The biggest prepare-the-night-before hits so far are my chocolate chip muffins and this Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Bake. The kids LOVE it and I love not having to cook breakfast in the morning.
Another morning hack that works well for us…the kids have to have everything else done (dressed, hair done, shoes on, bags packed, etc.) before they sit down to eat. That way when we’re in a time crunch they’re completely ready and can either take the remainder of breakfast to go or eat it quickly but regardless everything else is done and ready to go. Now you can enjoy a few extra minutes in the morning doing literally anything but cooking!
